Bio

Katrina Taylor is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and photographer based in Portland, Oregon. Before arriving in Portland, she planted vegetables in Guatemala, filmed giraffes in Zambia, scubadived in Australia and studied media in Edinburgh, Scotland. She has been working in the field of documentary film production since graduating with a degree in Communications, Film and Dance from Elon University. She attended the university as a communications fellow and went on to collaborate with the school on a series of documentaries concerning AIDS in Namibia. She has been an editor with the Academy Award winning Empowerment Project, and following her work at Elon, an associate producer with the Discovery Channel Global Education Project. She is currently the Director of Acquisitions for Collective Eye, Inc. Through film and photography, she has documented people and places around the world, and hopes to continue making films that challenge and awaken our desire for change. She is available for new projects.
